Using Microtech with FD?
I'm sure it's been done, just curious as to which model Microtech should be used and any issues during installation. I've installed & tuned Haltech in the past, my last FC was a half-bridge running the E6K. Considering all the E6X RFI issues I've seen, I'd like to see if a Microtech would be a comparable option. My FD's stock ECU & wiring is causing my major headaches and the time has come for it to go standalone.
I'm assuming the Microtech will come with wiring & sensors, like the Haltech? How much do they cost?

Microtech comes with a harness, but you need to either use your old connectors or buy new ones. Install isn't hard, if you know how to solder it's pretty easy. Took me a few hours the first time, but now that I've done it could probably do it in a couple hours tops. Very good instructions makes it fairly easy to install.

I have one for my car. KDR is doing all the work and tuning though. They really seem to like it, they say its much better than the PFC. From my understanding, if you can do a Haltech then the Microtech is a walk in the park.

im still debating on what i should get mircotech or pfc.
does the microtech control the air conditioning also does it control the oilmetering pump and the check engine light? what would be the differences in price?

Don't have AC in my car so I'm not sure. I am still using my OMP, and as for the check engine light I'm leaning more towards no.
However, I had the PFC before and have found ever since switching to the Microtech the idle is better and the car seems to run more smoothly in general whether in boost or not.
Price is all dependent on what options you get with the Microtech. Call A-Spec they deal with both and can help you out, or drop them an email info@a-spectuning.com

as for the model you might want..... ltx8s (common choice for the 2 rotor)
another nice thought... if you look at the apps. the ltx8s will run v8's too
