Timing check !!

Could some one tell me if this timing is good, bad, allright.. and if anybody know what the timing should be.

What's the most advance and retarted i can reach ??

would retarting too much detonate or effect the engine as much as Advancing ?

thanks guys

Here's a good discussion that includes some safe numbers. How did you save the screenshots? That would come in very handy.

your t_rpm map looks similar to , believe it goes up to 30 degree.

Low rpm it starts off at 5degrees at idle, this was from the base map.

This is giving me 1200-1500 f egt's at cruise and when I stopped my manifole and snail were glowing red. Wasnt boosting or going above 3k, since its a new engine.

That could be a slow transition from primary injection, and than secondary. Let me guess.. do you hear it @ 3-4k? If so you might want to adjust the maps..

Unhappy Water Temp

I have a 71 rx2 and I run a microtech lt8s. My water temp wire from the microtech is hook up to the stock water sending unit. I belive its the purple wire from the lt8s. I also have a mechanical water temp gauge that runs to the water pump. My water temp on the computer reads 106C while my mechanical gauge reads 180F does anyone know why. I would love some help and I must say I've been braking apex seals left and right.

signed need some help
Thanxs.

at 180F you should be able to grab the upper radiator hose with it being fairly warm but not scalding, at 106C you would not be able to hold the hose for long if at all.
