Microtech Swapping LT8s from N/A to TII???
Swapping LT8s from N/A to TII???
What would be the consequence of an engine swap from an S5 N/A to a S5 TII when an LT8s is running the show? If the LT8s was pre-programmed for an N/A, and then tuned for an N/A, will anything BESIDES a re-tune be required? Will I need to remove the unit and send it in to Microtech? Or can my tuner just re-tune it on the dyno?
What about the electical harness connections? The only thing I can think of thats different would be the vacc line?
Thanks,

when i dealt with microtechs they hadn't yet released the S models. my understanding is that the S models have user definable load points and number of sites.
all you should have to do is change MAP sensors. the older model microtechs contained a standard on-board 2 bar map sensor with an option to upgrade to an external 3bar map sensor. depending on your application you may be able to simply use the built-in 2 bar map sensor. all you should need from that point is a retune.

all you would need is a retune, since basically everything is the same. Although,if you saved the base map, you should load it up and richen up the mixtures and also retard timing a bit. that would essentially be a base map for the turbo. IF not just pm me and Ill send you the details for the base map, since I still have it...
