I just got finished installing a ltx8 in my s4 and when i start it will run for 10 seconds then shuts off. It will then restart with the same effect. Any suggestions i think i have tps adjusted right but p.o. had an old gm tps on it did he change another option somewhere for that. Im trying to use silverrotors base map as listed and changed no other options he didnt list

It doesnt seem to be fuel cut. With the dvom connected it dies and still has batt. voltage to pump for a few seconds after. Is the sweeping tps an add on option that i have to use?

Everything he posted was used. all other settings were kept. ill get them tomorrow . and yes while its running its very rich smelling but i took fuel out of idle alot and it gave no change to how long it runs. It starts right back up, if was a rich problem wouldnt it flood a bit and be harder to start

From what i can see in your idle map that was too lean. Put the above and should stay on this time.

Unfortunately with the new idle map it was all the same. I tried richening and leaning both. After trying to start a few times it did have rpm in the error box but quickly went away. Tach is working temps all look good. It seems to be exactly the same time running whether i start it every 20 seconds or every hour. when its running it seems smooth as i feather the gas. If i just let idle its a bit rough but smooths out before it dies
Any other options would be great before i rip apart my harness that is tapped up and soldered to be bulletproof to check all connections.
I am running stock trailings with no ignitor if that could be the problem even though sopposed to be ok to do. It was a used microtech also so hopefully its ok.

The fact that it smooths out before it dies means its going lean just before it shuts off.

Do you have a fuel pressure guage? Sounds like your loosing fuel pressure?

Ok forgot the fuel pressure gauge in my box at work. config+4 didnt do much but thanks. Dont know what all previose owner changed.
its definately a fuel issue i measured voltage at pump yet again and redid ground with no change. I did have it running for 40 seconds on carb cleaner so its a weak pump or im loosing injector pulse. I guess my noid lights won be to helpful here so im sure the gauge will tell me what im sure of.
After installing a new ecu and building a harness the last thing you check or thinks the problem is something thats been working great and is not in the vicinity of anything youve done except for the power wire.
One last thing. On screen 31 should my spark be on -neg or ser4

-neg

The only way you loose injector pulse is if you LOOSE CAS signal or the ECU switches off.

What happens if you hold the revs up does it still switch off?

How have you wired up the fuel pump?

well had the gauge hooked up today and while cranking it shoots to 40 then started the pressure goes down to 10 then shuts off. The whole time getting batt. voltage to pump. My dumb *** overlooked the obvious i just assumed it would be with all the work i just completed.
On another note where is a good spot to get ignition power that doesnt shut off while cranking

well it is running. i leaned out the idle to get it smoother but if i hold at any rpm above idle it misses pretty bad but doesnt miss while revving.

Change your LOAD_00HG map to 4.00ms

Should make it better.

Also make your LOAD_05HG map to 2.95 ms

You are the man. That made a night and day difference. I need to work on cold start enrichments now cause i can barely keep it goin when cold and the horrible shriek when hitting atmospheric to boost. Damn blowoff isnt leaking. Im replacing manifold gasket and all vacuum caps since they are cracked. I cannot find a vacuum leak but it sure come alive under boost. Also if i hold an rpm st idle it shakes like hell but cruising and heavy or light throttle i have no problems. IM using stock trailings with no ignitors put my power at the 4 like colors and ground to the others. Do you think my ignition sucks. What would you recommend i do.
