Question safe boost?

Should I use the boost cutoff function on the microtech ls8 to help with overboosting untill I get my electronic boost controller. Ive got it set for 10psi currently. I am thinking that the next bit of money should get to a ebc so I can set it for 5 psi until I can get the 1600cc injectors installed in a new secondary rail. I figured then I would get a wideband to make sure I dont go lean and finally the 1600cc injectors last. Is my thinking off. Other thoughts were to not get into any boost until I can save up for the secondary rail then get the ebc and wideband. Any settings I can use on the microtech other than boost cut to make sure I dont lean out and blow the motor until I can get the 1000 or so for all of it?

Get teh 1600cc injectors and rail first.
Then get wideband.
then boost controller.

the boost cut. If your running 10psi. Set the boost cut at around 16psi.

1300CC injectors + FPR will do the trick.
