quick harness question on lt8s

hey guys. i just bought a used lt8s from a forum member here and it looks like he pulled the power wire right out of the coneector on the harness. so my questions are:
1) what AWG is the power wire

2) does anyone know what kind of pin style is used in the connector? looks like i need to buy one from mouser or digikey...

The stock power wire is a quality 14 AWG, which has about as much wire as a poor quality 12 AWG.

The pins are the same as used on ATX computer power supplies, whatever size that may be.

Keep in mind that the power wire splits to also power the injectors so you will need some 16 AWG and heat shrink tubing.

18 AWG from memory. All the signal wires are fine at 18 AWG. But use 16 for injectors.

ok...i feel a bit newbish for having to ask, but better safe than sorry. the power wire that was pulled out was not the +12V battery wire, it's the "power" wire. Waht exactly is this wire for and where is it suppose to get connected?

That wire gets a constant 12V source from the battery and is what powers the ECU.

but isn't that what the BATT wire is for? so they both get connected to a constant 12v?as I have it right now I just have the BATT wire connected to a constant 12V and the ECU powers up without any errors...?

I'm sorry, that was an MT-8 diagram I saw...

OK, batt goes to the battery. Power goes to IGN 12V.

yeah, any time i download the LT8 wire diagram i get the MT8 diagram.

so "power" and "IGN +12V" get a switch 12V? that doesn't seem right to me...
