so ok, no body responding.

on the driver's side harness (IN ENGINE BAY), i cut EVERYTHING OUT, nothing is on the driver side harness, it only goes to the my front light and connected to the OTHER (BATTERY/ALT) HARNESS, i cut everything by slicing it out and just covering it's with electrical tape, i don't know it's safe or not just cutting and placing electrical tape over it, seeing that the wires are not being used no more it think it's alright, then i took the harness for the leading and trailing coils, so i can connect those to the LT8. Then i'm going to cut the CAS harness and put LT8 wires into that, so what do everyone think?

Wires are wires and it all depends on what the heck you want your car to do. Sounds like you are turning it into some sort of racing machine with absolutly no accessories

Damn this is sounding a little scary bro. I wish I had some answers for you. Do you have a wiring diagram so you can at least see what wiring you are affecting?

no the driver side harness stays in tact! put it back in .. you only remove the main harness and ECu aka on the passenger side. You'll splice into i think 4 wires on the driver side harness (for your coils) but that's it...

read it again.. yea as long as the wires are disconnected they aren't going to get any power or to the unit so you should be oke.. just make sure you have no bare wire on bare wire as a precaution. other than that you shoudl be oke.. just make sure no exposed wires can touch anything

now you tell me! damn i killed the driver side wiring, o well i kept the good stuffs, connections near the master clynder and the ones that goes to the MAIN FUSES, and the front lights. I cut everything else and e-tape loose ends, i kept the ignition harness so i can hook it up to the microtech ecu, i think everything else should be good, just near the "CPU" there are TWO connectors, one green and one black, i don't know where they connect to, i connect everything back in but those two doesn't seem to go anywhere and their length of the wires doesn't let it go far, so i'm thinking it's one of the diognostic thingys, but i didn't see them before? o well whatever, i'll remember if anything wrong it's those two fault.

My intejector clips are all old and broken apart, two of them doesn't even have metal clips! damn doesn't look safe, should i get a mini zip tie to hold them to the injectors?

i took everything out from the driver side harness also, THERES A BIG *** FUSE (gold) i took that out, the 2-light ecu CONNECTOR i took that **** out too, also the rest of MAZDAS diongostic ****, and bunch of A/C fuses(no more a/c), just say i took everything OUT, and that's a big no no?

Yep. put everything back right now. the only thing you will be pulling out is the PASSENGER side harness, it is really simple.

1.Disconnect leads from the following
BAC
inatake air temp
knock sensor
all 4 injectors
02 sensor.
Temp sensors(1 in the Thermostat housing, 1 behind the water pump, and the one below the oil filter pedestal)
unbolt the ECU ground from the engine.
Air flow meter
Solenoid resistor
Boost sensor

Now that you have disconnected all that crap, you will see the harness then travels in through the firewall on the passengers side. Pull up the carpet, unbolt the stock ecu, and remove, make sure all the plugs on the wiring harness that connect to interior sensors(since yours is a S4 you will have a knock control box and about 3 other connectors inside the passenger footwell to disconnect) . After that is all done go to the engine compartment and SLOWLY and CAREFULLY pull the wring harness through the firewall and set aside.

The drivers side crap. Whatever you did to the drivers side harness you need to UNDO! Essentially, it needs to be un-fucked. Put everything back where it was and reconnect everything. You will be using 3 connectors (2 for the trailing coils and 1 for leading) for the install, that is the only thing that will be modified on the drivers side harness.

or go to the junk yard and ask for any bosch l-jet plug.. used on almost every FI car from 80's + (if you're using square plug injectors ie nipondes 720's)

i owell i finally installed that biotch, it was a killer, i would of finshed way way earlier if i knew not to **** with the driver side harness, i couldn't start it at first, it seem'd like the starter was dead, but i checked it and figure out i fucked the wires up for the ignition, sooo i by-pass that hoe and wired it straight up from ignition switch (key hole) to the starter to start that ****** up, RUNS HELLA RICH, i don't know how to un richin it, anybody got pointers? i'm using laptop.

what else to say? o yeah i fucked my head light up, everything works cept the front lights don't light up, when i signal doesn't show **** up. and yeah none of my gauges works, to tell what rpm i am on i need to lookl ike the latop BUT ITS HELLA SLOW! so i didn't redline that bitch, runs good, just idles, and sometimes wants to die, i have no BAC connected on that hoe.

looks like i got to the electrical system all over (mother pucken ****)

o yeah there was FIVE wires on the fuel pump, i slice the harness off and used the ground and blue wire, what are the other two? red and some other color, i think i was the fuel gauge **** because my fuel gauge is fucked too, boost is fucked but i don't give a **** about the boost one, my temp doesn't show either, is the sensor located under the oil filter? cuz **** i didn't plug **** on that.

sorry for typing too much, i just turn 17 and doing soething pretty crazy **** to my car.

ok, the fuel pump you didnt need to chop off the entire connector. You have a connector that has wires to connect to the fuel pump(pump side of harness) and then you have the chassis side of this connector, all you need to do is cut the BLUE wire on the chassis side of the fuel pump connector, and solder the wire that you ran from your relay to that for the fuel pump. everything else should stay the same. Also, the yellow wire on the trailing coil harness is the Tach wire, just reconnect it the way it was before you cut the connector off, and you will be fine. your fuel gauge doesnt work because you cut the wires for the fuel sending unit, just reconnect(solder) the wires back where they were.

Holy **** this is just a nightmare. You really need a wiring diagram and know what you are cutting into before you actually cut it. I guess you know that by now though.

do some school work then!

I'm finding the microtech to be really easy in forms of trouble shooting. Just not that many things can be wrong for it not to work which is great.

good luck!

dang, ok i did the TPScal, everything is kinda better, i had to use the "hard" idle screw (the one behind/under the intercooler"

now it's good at 750-800 RPM, but the **** is to make it not CRAZY ROUGH RICH ETC.. i had to -15 off my TIMING to get it straight.

me n bl|nk was talking about TIMMING LOCK BUTTON, but i can't find it in my lap top program, i can find a timming lock that has variables not just a box to check off, does anyone know where this TIMMING LOCK would be at?
