base maps are not transferrable with the microtech, it is the only management system that i know of that has to be swapped manually between vehicles unless someone wants to spend a few hours writing down figures.

I've actually been working on and off for a year or so on a little application that can save LT8 maps. So far I can dump the matrix map to an XLS file. Next step is to be able to upload it and also save things like timing.

The Microtech protocol is actually very simple. It's almost as if the computer/hand controller is a terminal device.

too bad they never bothered to implement it themselves, it is quite bothersome and takes a little longer tuning rougher maps or things people tweaked with prior to tuning.

hopefully you get it working, that would be a great tool to have.

they should get it to be able to upload and unload maps etc.

I'll do my best to finish it this summer when I am once again driving the car. If I had a spare LT8 harness I could just pull my ECU and work on it anytime but to me it's not worth the money to buy the harness.

If I read correctly you're using four 1680cc injectors? Then 50% is correct.

This will add 50% to your injector pulse when running on primaries only. When you start tuning you may have to adjust a few % either way for smooth transition when secondaries come online.

50% is incorrect. You'll have a real hard time getting a smooth transition. Around 95% is ideal for 1600CC with 550CC primary. I run 90% using 720CC primary and 1600CC secondary.

This is well documented in the staging sticky:

title sais (4) 1600's, so 50-55% is what you should be using.

Duh! Sorry, I missed the part where he said he had 4 1600CC units! 50% is indeed correct if primary and secondary injectors sizes are the same.
