Mircotech Maps

does anyone have a microtech map they are willing to share with their list of mods ?
Also am I right in thinking that I should only really need to adjust the timing on the microtech?
The car it's going on is 94 fd that has hks to4r, bridgeport, ported lim & uim, trust 3 core intercooler, b&m ignition amp, apexi fuel pump, hks evc,
hks additional injector controller with hks fuel rail and two additinal injectors welded into the uim. etc etc
my point is my fuel delivery is independant of the ecu because I have the hks aic, therefore when fitting a microtech do I only need to use the timing maps? as boost will be set by the hks evc, and fuel by hks aic.

Would I be better off setting up the microtech to manage my two extra injectors instead of the hks additional injector controller for my current setup as I expect to hit approx 55rwhp on the dyno.

What you need is an LTX 12 to handle everything. When you buy it you tell them what you have and they will give you a base map.

Hi TT,

I was gonna get the lt8, which can handle everything also. It's just that my fueling at the moment is fine running approx 10.8-1 under boost nice and rich, and the hks aic is very easy and quick to adjust. If I then have a microtech fitted the main thing I have to setup is the timing which seems easy enough as it will be done on the dyno, just trying to find out if there is any better advantage of having the mircotech contriol everything instead??

i really dont see the point in messing around with AIC's and stuff when you can just get a LTX12 and have it control everything in one hit

the LTX12 has 2 totally seperate fuel maps 1 for the standard 4 injectors and 1 for any additional injectors you have, you can set the main fuel map and use the additionals to adjust the fuel.

keep it simple, otherwise you will be getting a lot of things and wasting a lot of money

LT12 would be w/o the bosch coil setup. LTX12 would be with the bosch coil setup. So yes, the X means the coils. But I think the point was an LT8 (or ltx8) would not work because it only has 1 fuel map. You would need an lt12 (or ltx12) to make it work in one unit.

Brian,

yes i meet Tim, top bloke!!

its up to you weather you get the coils or not, i would get them and replace the stock ones,

this is identical to the ecu i have in my car it works a treat with the 2 extra injectors in the top of the motor,

Dale

Ok will get the ltx12 then. Hopefully I can change my user name to 10 sec rx7 too
Thanks for your help everyone. I think I better get the 3bar map sensor at the same time. The car will be really a show car for my company I will run approx 10psi for the street now and again use and hopefully 22psi for 1/4 track days.

Hi Rich,

Yeah spoke to Tim and he confirmed it's now onsite.
I'm having seconds thoughts again though. I have quite a bit of interest in it and as white is not my favourite colour for an fd and I am not a great fan of the bodykit. I might be tempted to let it go.

Have u sold your black one yet? Think the white will be nice when its fixed up (probablt is by now!), it was there when I went down to RXM's.

So what you gonna do? Look out for another major mods car at auction, or build some thing?

No mate I took the black one to rxmotors today for final service and check over. I took off my intercooler and put a standard one on. I'll get it mot'd & taxed then putit up forsale. I have not used the car for a long while.

The white one is in pieces. Had some minor failures, like a the great big autometer gauge falling out from under the dash on the testers foot as he was doing the speed test lol.
I been in contact a few times with the company in Japan that built the car. It was built for drag use they reckon that it is a 11sec 1/4 mile car easily. I don't really like white for an fd, and I don't particulary like the frontend
even though it flows really well.
I was considering getting the same company in Japan who built this to build me one to spec and ship it over for me, and I'll put it in a fd that's in a better colour i.e balck and a bodykit of my own taste.

also i dont think the LTX12 can control the oil metering pump so u may have to run premix.

Hi Erdin,

Hows it going mate. I've been advised the microtech needs premix as it does not maintain the use of the oil metering pump. and there was something else I was not happy about I can't remember now?
Anyway I think i'm leaning more towards an apexi power fc instead now. Things would be a lot easier if we had the expert tuners in U.SA, Australia, Japan etc
but becaus ewe don't I'll probably just have to settle for the apexi instead
However I have another isngle on it's way so may just end up selling this one and keep the new single I just bought looks nicer. Below is a pic it was reserved the chap changed his mind and i'm kind of glad as I may well keep it for myself.
