Anyone know where to connect the Tach output wire from the microtech in order to connect to the instrument cluster?
Been looking at the wiring diagrams and cant figure it out.

With a 20b, your tac isn't going to read correctly if you hook the ecu directly to it. You will need this:

Anynore info on this topic? I know I need the dakota box but I have looked at the factory wiring diagram and cant figure out how to connect the rpm output from the microtec to the dakota and the dakota to the stock tach.

Mine is in and running great. The problem is, it's been so long since I hooked it up, and can't remember ****.... Sorry!
If I get some time I'll try to find the schematics we drew up for all the new electrical and post how we ran it.
The Tach turned out to be pretty easy, now trying to get the FD Speedo working is proving VERY diffucult. Its not a cable like the FC.

I was about to start a new thread but this one came up in the search so I will post my problem here. The issue I am having is when under WOT the tach hits about 6200-6500 RPMs and the instantly shoots past 9000...scared the crap out of me the first couple times it happened. I would really like to get this fixed....
Any suggestions???

^ Hmm. I'd check your wiring to ensure everything is connected well and then would reset/calibrate the Dakota box. I'd also check the connectors on the back of the gauge cluster and inspect for corrosion and to make sure they're seated tightly. If you still have the problem, my guess would be possibly a bad capacitor on the tach board but it could be a bad box. The Dakota boxes usually last forever though.
