Microtech Logs to Download
Ok guys, here's what you've been waiting for. Some logs for you to download so you can have a bit of a play around with your laptop software without the need to have an ecu plugged in.....
http://www.fastrotor.com/jonrx/run1.mtl
http://www.fastrotor.com/jonrx/run2.mtl
http://www.fastrotor.com/jonrx/427hp.mtl
http://www.fastrotor.com/jonrx/533hp.mtl
http://www.fastrotor.com/jonrx/549hp.mtl
http://www.fastrotor.com/jonrx/11.3-127mph.mtl
Now you need to download these into a folder on your C drive.
Open the Microtech software & then open the data logger (just press alt + l )
On the right side of the logging screen you will see a button "open log"
Click on open log and it will open up a window & ask you where you want to load the files from.Simply click on the folder that you downloaded the logs to,then click on the log you want to view & away you go!!!!!!
Have a play around with all the functions on there.you cant stuff anything up!!!!!
Once you have a log up on the screen, exit out of the logging screen back to the main start up screen & select the data (alt + d) screen. You will see the red button flashing "PLAY".press play to view the log in real time playback mode.
If you have any questions just ask.I'm sure you will all find it pretty easy to work your way around it!!!

For they guys that are having troubles downloading the files...............
Right click on the link
choose "save target as"
when the new window opens up,there will be a little box right down the bottom that says "save as type"
change that to "all files"
And proceed to download.
This should get it working.
Jon
Thanks to A777 for helping me out with this one!!!!!

Why do you hope no one is spreading it around? If he doesent have the ECU its useless anyway. If he does im sure Microtech would be happy to give him a copy.

10SECRX7 (Dale) has been e mailing it to guys.I have the official OK from Microtech to do this also so everything is fine Redwood. It will be available to download from my website very soon also.
If you have the software loaded onto your computer, you can download these logs & use the data logger & the playback fuction (plays back runs in real time) without the need to have it connected to an ECU.
Programming the computer will need the laptop adaptor anyway so i guess that's why Microtech aren't stressed out at us making the software available. They will get there money when you buy the adaptor as it comes with the software as a package!!!Without the adaptor, all you can do is use the logger & playback function.

one more thing
I am running a mtx 8 on my stock 13bt in my 72 beetle
The car refuses to rev over 6K at .3bar and then nothing over 5K when i up the boost to .6 bar
Did a compresion test and from what i could C i only had 90 odd PSI front and rear
Could it be computer or compresion that is to low ??
TIA

I'm kind of confused when viewing throught these sample data logs. How come the AFR (I'm assuming this is Air/Fuel Ratio) is always 14.7 accross the board in every data log???? Kind of confused on this. I am assuming that this isn't the actual data log of the AFR since there is no fluctuation in the numbers and tuning to 14.7 is kind of crazy.

14.7 under load is very lean, at crusing it is perfect for emmisions but i have seen cars that like to cruse as lean as 18:1 when emmisions are not a issue.,

Dale
like when you have really good brakes and stand on them to stop from 160-0 in 2sec's
The map sensor is in the MTX 8 unit right ??
If yes then ya its hooked up correctly
What i find when i take the pipe out of the ECU is she miss and jerks at 3k +
put it back and i hit the wall at 5k
Goes cleanly until 5k then game over
And when i run .3bar at 6k game over
No errors i can find on the ECU so i am lost
I even changed the ECU into another Beetle running the same setup also series 4 13BT etc and he C's 8K clean no problems

Sounds loke you either have a problem with your secondary injectors, their staging % or fuel supply. List your injector style and size withthe staging % and we may be able to assist.

We both have the pink injectors on all 4 same wiring
same turbo same pipes same ECU same Fuel pump plugs coils dissy etc
Only difference is tyres paint job seats and carpets
other than that they are the same
and then the power in his car is more than mine
We basicaly did everything except for the water pipes together on the engine side of things
Could my injectors be dirty or ???
How can i test injectors ?? i presume take them out and then ???
Fuel pressure is 3.2 bar to 3.6 bar under boost flow i dont know how to messure that ??
I did a test when we did the conversions and filled a 2l coke bottle to the brim in only like 10 sec's with the fuel pump so i am sure it flows enough if this is how you test it
How do i know when the car is runnig what injector bank is active is there away to test this ??
TIA
