Microtech info? Was going Haltech but want more info on Microtech.

I was going to go with the Haltech E12k but now I have found out about the Microtech. I was wondering how it compares to the Haltech. Since I can't really find much info about what it does. Also, what's the difference between the 8 and the 12 Microtech? Basically I want good control over ignition, fuel, and boost in a safe method that allows for upgrades. I don't mean to be putting down either system, I just would like some info, I know alot about the Haltech but not really anything about the Microtech. I'm running an s4/s5 hybrid engine, TID, cone filter, s5 turbo, RB full exhaust, Jacobs Rotary pack, fireo fan on fluidyne radiator, and will be upgrading the injectors. I think that's about it as far as horsepower mods. Is there a site with good info on the Microtech?

There's lots of good info in this section of the forum. I'd recommend spending a few hours reading.

Until we (BR7 Racing) get our own site up and running, check out http://www.team140.net/modules.php?n...rticle&artid=5 as well. It's rough, but it's a basic intro.

The big difference between the LT(X)8 and the LT(X)12 is that the 8 has four injector and coil drivers, while the 12 has six of each. The LT(X)12 also has a few more options available.

The LT16 currently only exists in the dark backrooms of Microtech R&D, and won't see the light of day for a while yet.

If you are refering to the ECU that will be able to run a 4 rotor engine, its available sooner than you think.
Dom told me the other night that the software should have been ready this week.
Give it a month at best I think and these should be available off the shelf all going well. One has been ordered for NZ already and I will be getting one sometime soon too

Matt,
In about a month, there will be 5 guys in the area with an LT8 controlling their TII. See if you can make our next meet, and we'll be sure to show what these ECU's are made of.

Is anyone running one of these successfully in an FD? It seems like everyone talking about them is talking about an FC application.

Thanks,
Shane

There are a HUGE number of FDs running around in Australia with awesome results. The only one I'm (very loosely) associated with in the USA is Jose Corraliza's (spicrx7). No domestic results yet, just started and idling after an easy evenining of work.
