Microtec....anyone wish that had gone with a different unit?

I am looking at getting an LTX-8 but honestly know hardly anything about the microtec units. The application is a two rotor single turbo. Is there anyone with a MT that really wishes they had gone a different route? Would I be better off with an E11 Haltec, Power FC, etc?
How does the LTX-8 compare to other Microtec units?
I'm off to find MT's webiste and hopefully learn a bit more!

I moved your thread into the Microtech forum where you will get a bigger concentration of Microtech owners.

This is the Microtech website if you haven't found it yet:

well ive looked at my frends haltech, and my microtech. the lt8 seems to be a lot more user friendly, and easier to tune. I tuned my car just by hearing the engine.

I would go by what your local tuner knows.

I had the Power FC and switched to the Microtech. I've found the car runs/idles better with the Microtech than it did with the Power FC. I seemed to always have that pesky idle hunting with the Power FC even after a proper tune. Another problem I had with the PFC was that somedays it would take forever for my car to actually start, and many times it wouldn't start on the first turn of the key.
I don't have any experience with other EMS systems but I feel more comfortable about how the car runs now with the Microtech then I did with the PFC.

I like how easy it is to use, but I wish I would have gotten the lt12 because the lt8 wont let me datalog w/ my wideband...but Ill live with it.

I think Microtech is a great entry level aftermarket EMS. It offers just enough to get your car up and running (pretty good at that, actually), and is very easy to use. However, after awhile of familiarising myself with the system and making use of it's features, I started to want more things to play with...

So I guess it depends on what and how much you are looking for in your computer...?
