what i have heard about that is the fact that the microtechs are calibrated at sea level and waht ur seeing is the actual atmoshpere differences relating to ur location.

Yes, just like airplane gauges are calibrated to sea level, which is density. If you're in the mountains, the air is a lot thinner, and MTs reflect the same thing.
