LTX12 installed and running :D

We put a LTX12 into my first gen over the weekend, just crused along got everything in, the motor hasnt been started for over 2 1/2 years and was full of oil to keep things nice insid, so i pulled the plugs out, wound her over till the oil pressure came up, threw the plugs back in, hit the button she kicked to life stlled out, hmm -50% on the mix trim might be a little too much, bring it to -40% better kicks and runs for a bit longer, then -30% she comes to life, man talk about smoke!! between the oil and the fuel it was horrod!! after warming up -40% was as close as i could get it with out messing around too much,

went for a drive around the block and things are good, new turbo is pretty laggy, got to 4000 and only saw 2psi!! that was all i was game to go to with out the wide band plugged it,

the New LT range of microtechs are much smoother to drive then the old MT thats for sure, straight off the bat it felt better with out any real tuning!! once we get it tuned it will be awesome!

the car goes off to Jon at Rx Eng this saturday for some finishing off and tuning on his new Dyno!!

yes you are!!

the turbo that is on there only has a small shaft as it is a small frame turbo so if it chops to much on over run it will not last long at all, so for another $250 and i have enough air passing to fix the problem,

should have just got one Tial BOV and it would have fixed the problem

Surely the important question is:

How come your LTX12 is black when the one on Jon's site is that swanky anodised blue!!

I have an LTX12 coming for my 20B in a couple of weeks - I was rather looking forward to a blue one *sob* :-)

hey 10sec, do you have any screenshots or videos of your LTX12 running? i was thinking about buying an LTX8 (whats the difference? i just know its cheaper) and i havent actually seen it in action.

i havent at the moment only had the car running a few times, ill download a data log off it tonight if there is one on there,.

the main difference is you can run 3 sets of staged injectors all coming on at a different time, ie one set for idle low cruse, one set come on at 00psi then the third set at 10psi if you wish, you can tell it to come on where ever you want. thats the main difference, also on board data logging so no need for the laptop to be in to data log etc,

the standard LTX12 retails at $1495 au, and for a custom unit they get up towards the $1700-$1800au mark.

nice man, i'll make a post, i'm tryin to do a little research about the microtech stuff before i actually order one. oh, well i will be using stock fuel rails with like 720 primaries and 850 secondaries cause i only plan on running about 250hp at the wheels @ about 14 psi on the stock turbo. and only about 310 or so at the wheels after upgrading to a t04 compressor side. so the LTX8 would be good for me?

how much is one AUS dollar compared to a US dollar? for some reason i'm thinking 1500 AUS is like 900 US.

dude stick with the LT8 it will do everything you want,
im aiming for around 600rwhp there fore need the 6 injectors,

the lt8 are a lot cheaper and you really dont need the extra features,

$1500au - $965us

i have a LT8 sitting here on my desk which is about to be sent to a customer in the US it has cost him for a LT8, handset and dongle $950us shipped to his door, he got in before the $$ went up so you would probably be looking at about $970 shipped now. so for under $1000us you will have ecu, loom, handset and laptop setup ready to install and tune.
