LT8x 2 bar maps and fuel cut questions

first question is related to the 2bar map equipped LT8, it only can map to 20PSI, well what happens after your boost hits 20PSI? does it fuel cut?

next question, why was fuel cut incorporated instead of ignition cut? why i ask is now i have found myself with a complete new set of issues with the Methanol injection being in that when the injection is on under boost if i have boost or RPM cut it will still be recieving fuel from the AI which will create a lean condition costing me my motor and having those features, like dual step is almost a necessity when at the track. so my real question is can the LT8x be reconfigured to use an ignition cut rather than fuel cut? hoping the answer is yes, since i plan on upping it to a 3 bar i would like to have that changed over if possible.

It continues to use the 20 PSI bin.

I'll have to check my manual but off the top of my head I think there is an option to do so...

Doesn't look like there is a way to cut ignition for the rev limiter. Only fuel.

Generally fuel cut is the safest way to do a rev or boost cut since it means the engine does not load up with unburned fuel as ignition cut would cause.

yea but not when you have alcohol being sprayed in I TOO am in the same situation!!! meth injection and wanting an ignition cut on my LT8s. let me know if microtech says anything good about this haha

for the time being i'm going to be using cdi boxes on the ignition with a softtouch limiter. i'd rather not have to use these boxes

i understand about the loading of the engine, it is a cleaner cut to do just fuel, i have tested it and it reacts like many OEM rev limiters in no backfiring stinky mess or pissed off people behind you when you do it but almost every other EMS on the market uses either ign cut or both. would be nice if they can incorporate into the software/hardware an ignition cut option for those in our situation. in the future i see alot more people running auxiliary injection and this will cause many limitations with this EMS and a major drawback to those looking into using it.

i will contact Microtech about it, they still haven't gotten back to me about the dealer/GB info yet anyways so i need to send em more mail, i'll update this with any info i get from them.

Yeah, it kind of sucks in that sense...When you do call Microtech, make sure to mention the high res code (32x32) and ask when the new software that allows saving maps to disk will be out...
