ignition break up at 3,000rpm

not sure whats causing it. was fine then on the drive home it started acting funny. looks like there is no trailing spark out of the trailing ignitors. if i redline it slow it will go all the way but if i hammer it there is a stutter then it backfires at 3 to 3500 rpm... never had a microtech so not sure how to use the handset to check anything. im thinking maybe a wire came loose or something. anything would help you guys.

Do you have any aftermarket ignition boxes?

What condition are the plugs and wires in?

When you get the breakup, do you see RPM errors or have an erratic RPM display on the Microtech?

no dude. the rpms look like they could be right. is the trailing coil pack suppose to put out just as much spark as the leading, because the leading sparks like hell the trailing doesnt spark as hard. but i think my timing light was broke and thats why there was no trailing spark. but now when i punch it at 3,000rpm it back fires really loud and i dont want to push it further so thats it. if i ease on the gas not even halfway down it will go through the power band ... im lost man

Go get it retuned. sounds like the tune has gone out(Bad fuel pump or fuel regulator).

I think youll find its either bad injector staging or bad fuel pressure. sounds like its going lean.

Check your earths in the car.
If your getting rpm error thats why its breaking up.
