since it was similar to my setup except for the porting part... Car starts fine cold or hot but I cannot drop idle no matter what I try to adjust, idle sits at 3k RPM's.

 

FD throttle body has coolant going through it and designed to slightly open when coolant is cold which will peg the idle at 3k. it's some thermopellet or whatever. I'm sure there is a thread on it if you search. I don't have FD TB, so I don't know what you need to switch out. It may be cheaper just to replace the entire throttle body rather than to replace just the part that is not reacting to the coolant temp.
