using a prolific usb to serial comm port adapter (usb > adapter > dongle > microtech) worked on my last laptop but not on this one..tryed to find the driver online but couldnt, i remember there is another way to set it up though. can anybody help? running windows xp

 

Did you check your comm port # on your laptop?

 

From my knowledge, they connect on port 1 & port 2

 

yeah i just figured it out. had to go into system settings and manually put the USB port to port 1. it was set on port 5 for some reason thanks guys
