BR7 Racing in Australia

Yup. BR7 Racing is going to the land down under for the 2k3 Microtech Seminar in Newcastle and the Jamboree in Brisbane. We're leaving town on the 9th and will return on the 24th. We'll be spending two days hanging out in Sydney with Dale Heiler (10sec rx7) in all his infinite coolness and then we're off to work at the seminar. But it sure won't feel like work!

Best of luck to everyone in our absence and we'll have lots of pictures and stories upon our return!

I'll be visiting sydney as well

I'm currently on a business trip in Melbourne, and I'll be visiting Sydney this weekend, 12th through 14th. I'd love to meet up and hang out for a bit. I'm from N. California, and I'm no rotary newbie. And yes, I bought a LT8 in the last group buy. Let me know guys, PM me your cell phones emails and I'll do the same.

thanks,

Fred

I mentioned it before Brandon, but you guy's have fun, and take lots of pictures. I'm sure the knowledge you pick up while over there will prove to be invaluable.

Cheers

Man, Have fun over there. Don't forget to get plenty of pictures of the old school rotors, and any Datsun 1600's (510's) that may have a rotor shoved in it! Be Safe!

I'm down somewhere in Europe right now for the next 7 weeks myself.

Couple of guys from the UK are meeting up with Tim P. for the MT seminar and the Jamboree too.

Hopefully they'll learn plenty as one of em will be installing and tuning a 20B in my FD in the (hopefully) not too distant future

Oh yeah? Well, I've got the pics to prove it, Dale! :p

We are back. I'm waaaay jetlagged; it's 2 AM here and there's no way in hell I'm going to sleep anytime soon. Many many thanks to Dale and his misses (and mum!) for showing us such a good time. I had a serious blast and don't think it would have been one-tenth as cool had he not taken us in so kindly and shown us around so well. Happy birthday to Dale, too - his bday was on the first Sunday we were there.

Flint: Geff and Tim were at the seminar. Both are top-notch fellows and I don't foresee you having any problems. We're all going to be in close touch in the future, so rest assured that you're in good hands.

To everyone else, pictures are forthcoming. We took over a thousand of them, so they're going to need some sorting. We got pics of old school, new school, fast, slow, ugly, uglier and just plain funny. Dale knows....

Here's a quick pic. It's a heart-string-pulling one - it's the last view I got of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, as I was flying out. This was the second day of only two on which I saw clouds - the very first and the very last.

Australia is stunningly beautiful.

Dale, Ray, and Brandon, it was good meeting with you all. It was nice meeting up with some some rotorheads, of all places, in Sydney. Hope you guys had a blast in NewCastle or where ever the Jamboree was. Can't wait to get home and get my car hooked up...

Good to hear it. Got a phone call at (real) work this morning - Geff finally got back home at 5.30am and was at the workshop pretty much straight away ;-)

Cant wait to hear all about it tomorrow at the garage!

Tim is a funny fella isnt he!

Well, I guess there's always next year. Maybe you can have a Booth there peddling Microtechs. I should have my car done by then.

Tim is a classic.
He had one beer & then a trip down the road in a 10 second rx7 & came back looking like he'd just drunk 3 X 6 packs!!!
Biggest problem was keeping him out of the beer fridge!!
Say G'day to Tim & Geff when you see the guys.It was a pleasure to have all the guys in my shop for the few days.
