All messed up, what do I do

Found a unterminated Microtech MT-8 for sale for $450, comes with controller. That got me all wanting a microtech. Turns out its probably for a FD, and I guess that wont work with my S4 CAS. I plan on upgrading to LT-8 sometime. My question is, should I get a LT-8, and are there any group buys goin on for it. Or should I get the MT-8 for the FD (might be) and can I make it where it will work with my FC. I have about 8-900 to spend, obviously I would like to spend as little as possible.

Sorry if you cant understand what im typing, im all scrabled too...

800 - 900 will get you a brand new LT8 w/ hand controller and lap top interface... and you'll have some money left over....

do you have any electrical back ground?

the wiring schematic is very easy to read... didn't take me that long to wire up once i got moving to.. i soldered and heat shrinked all my connections.. it seems good.. and the car is wayyy happier then it was running stock ecu w/ s-afc. If you know how to solder it'll be cake.. if you don't.. ask a friend who does and offer him beer

PowerOverFC

That budget will cover a brand new unit easly, not a problem at all,

The handset and the laptop interface is a good to have, i use the laptop to do the inital tune as it is much easier to see everything on the screen etc, then use the handset to do fine adjustments if needed,

Ill send you a PM with the prices in it so you get a idea how good the value for money is,.

Yes, Ive been to school studying electronics, and I do quite a bit of soldering myself. Sounds easy enough. So I shouldnt probably even mess with that MT-8 for sale then?

Put it this way, if you get one (LT-8) youll have someone a few hours north to help ya if you run into problems.
