Question Air intake temps?

I'm looking to gather some intake temps you guys are seeing at max power. What's the point to say Whoa! and back off when you are on the dyno? If you could, please post your PSI, outside air temp roughly, your max intake temp on full throttle pull, front mount or top mount, water/meth or not. If you really want to be cool, email me your street or dyno logs to a143gsxr@hotmail.com . I recently ran 2 dyno pulls, one at 10.2 psi which made 313WHP and one at 11.8 psi which made 343WHP. both intake temps ramped up to about 90C at the 7500rpm area. I'm going to data log on the street today at 12 psi and i'll post those temps tonight. anyone wanting to see my logs from the dyno just shoot me your email.

thanks, stephen.

water/meth coming soon....

With most front mounts. On the dyno air temps go to around 40-45 degrees.
With water injection i have seen cars only increase by 5-6 degrees at full power compared to 15-20 degrees.

Also with a top mount its no wonder your car is going to 90 degrees.

When im street tuning a car the air temps wont go as high during power runs. Purely from better air flow into the front of the car.

i hope that helps.

Hey I couldnt send you these logs through a PM for some reason.

These are Haltech e6k logs. You can see them in Metric form if you load a Metric Base map, or an SAE form if you load a US Haltech Base map.

My temps didnt go above about 93 degrees F after the 3 runs in 10 minutes.

This is with an old school Greddy FMIC; Some say they were the biggest, I dono.

To4b V1V2 compressor, .84 Undivided manifold 3" RB with a 3" Bonez Highflow Cat

All runs done in 4th gear.

Also my EGT temps stayed at about 1420F
