$100 To anyone who can help get this car to run
TII S4 in a 85 FB, Microtech LT8. Microtech came out of a running car. Have spark, have compression (excellent compression at that) have fuel, moved the CAS all over. It chugs slightly someimtes.
What I'm looking for is someone with a running TII to come down to our shop in Hamilton so we can copy your map. 100 bucks if it gets the car running. More maybe if you aren't very local.

Oh and plus beer and food when you are here. Or if you need anything else we can help you build something for the car or something out of wood. We have a metal fabricator guy that fabricates go fast parts and we also have a full Wood/cabinetry shop. Need to get laid? maybe we could help with that too? We know lots of girls lol jk

Copy the above map.
Line up the front mark on the pulley. Their are two marks. Line up the one that sits on the oil filter side of the engine to the pin on the front cover.
Remove the CAS.
Take the cap of it.
Their are two arrow pointers inside it(dont look too hard they are right infront of you, they point opposite of each other).
When you stick the CAS in these two pointers must be facing east west, with the east pointer alittle higher. These is the correct tooth for the CAS to be in.
Give that a go.

Still doesn't run. It might be another setting in the ECU that was fiddled with when we tried to get it started the first time with a blown front rotor (front rotor? strange I know...)
We can even come out somewhere close and hook our dongle thingy to save your working map onto.

Hamilton Ontario. We tried two sets of plugs now. First ones were brand new and we thought maybe they got oiled from when we built the motor. So we changed them with a set from a stock turbo that runs. No change.

Thought maybe you were in Hamilton, OH which is close.
Anyway, you have spark and compression? Do you have fuel pressure? Are the injectors firing when the engine is cranking? Easy way to tell is to either pull out the CAS or plug in a spare and spin it over by hand. Unplug the fuel pump before doing this or you'll flood the engine terribly. Without the noise of the engine cranking you should be able to hear the injectors and the ignition firing. If they are firing then you have a programming issue. If they're not you either have a programming, ECU hardware, or under hood issue.
Regardless of whether the map you load is dead on right you should be able to get the car to fire. There are tons of MT "maps" like the one posted above floating around this site and nopistons. Anything close should get you running.
Even if the timing is off by several degrees it should at least try to run. Have you tried to zero the timing while cranking it to see if it's even close? That should be the first thing you do anyway. The MT locks at TDC so you will have to make a mark on the pulley. The two marks that are on there already are 5 ATDC and 15 ATDC.

My buddy just called me, he got the car running. He fiddled with it all day long I guess. He remembered a base map he saved the values for when he got the microtech a few years ago that was on his OLD *** computer. He said the map was vastly different than the one you guys gave me. An old version of the LT8?
Thanks for all the help guys. That car is leaving tomorrow, time to start tearing down the cosmo halfcut that came in last week... ugh
