I doing some checking connections on the V3 board and I pulled the MS1 chip out but as a dumb *** I did not track which end the small dot on the chip went. Does it go closes to the outside edge of the board or to the middle of the board.

 

The half-circle cut-out at one end of the MS1 chip goes away from the aluminum heat-sink strip on the V3 board
