v3 with single vr sensor conditioner and modified cas

If you do not run an extra vr sensor conditioner with the v3 board, Does this assume that all three coils will be triggered at same time with single ignition out giving wasted spark on all plugs with no split timing?

I’m trying to find info on assembly without using extra vr sensor conditioner.

Timing and split capabilities are the same regardless of CAS style used. Here's a link to one I built a while back.

ok so the board has the ability to drive separate ignition module independently?

If you mod it correctly, yes.

by that you mean the addition of the pull up resistors and corerect mod to cas only?

Yeah, for the coils you just add the pullup resistors. If you're going to run a single VR, mod the CAS.

You know I’m getting frustrated. The v3 build manual assumes a build for m2 cpu. and there are so many decision points which require different hardware fitted, the build section 65 for decisions to populate the high-current ignition driver circuit or not are detailed only for the m2, The link provided for the m1 doesn’t really touch base on the jumper or circuit build for this part.. They only cover areas assuming that we have all chosen to run 2 Vs conditioners.... and focus on that only.
I think it would great to have access to a new diagram of the PCB schematic for 13b using stock coils, with notes related to stock case and mod cas.

For an rx7, you don't need the high-current driver.

For the modded CAS, you just don't build an extra conditioner.

Also, the v3 build manual doesn't say anything about building 2 VR conditioners, because there is only one on the board. IF you want the second one, you have to build it yourself and put it in the proto area.

Also, the v3 build manual says when things are ms2 only. They don't say anything about ignition on ms1 because you can't run ignition on a standard MS1. You can only run ignition on an ms1 after reflashing the firmware to ms1/extra. Those build instructions only cover the standard firmware.

The FAQ has notes for what's required to run the stock CAS and a modded CAS. The only difference is that the stock CAS requires an extra VR conditioner to be built (lm1815).

Running the standard coils just requires extra pullup resistors to be added.

In section 65 for v3 board it describes jumper connections in order not to populate the IGBT high current driver circuit, ie....
Jumper JS10 to IGN to bring the signal out on DB37 pin #36

Does the same apply for ms1? Because they specify that this instruction is for ms2 only. I find no detail with the link they provide regarding these jumpers for ms1 application on v3 board. I only find info on modes for the vr conditioner and pull up resistors but nothing for this section of the board.
