Tuning with alpha-N

Hello

Just some details on my setup. I had a turbo s4 13b rebuilt and bridgeported. I am running it N/A and have installed it into my 1985 Rx-7 FB. I installed tweakits 50mm ITB's with four 550cc injectors on a IDA intake manifold and all the other fuel system stuff (pumps, fpr, surge tank etc.). Also using a lightweight flywheel. I decided to use alpha-N because of the bridge and ITB's. I managed to get the engine started and idling quite well. I also tried speed density but as I suspected its very diffcult to get a stable idle as the map reading goes crazy at low revs. My question is on how to tune with alpha-n. Ive tried looking around but the information seems limited as most are running speed density. Im using megasquirt 2 (v3). Do I only use the "alpha-N map" table to tune or does the "VE Table 1" come into play as well, because while the engine is running if I open either table I can see the green block that lights up the bin being used so i'm confused as to which one is controlling the fueling. Also, does autotune work with alpha-N? Any other advice would also be appreciated, or a link with proper information on using alpha-N.

Thanks

It sounds like you're using the standard firmware. I have no idea how to tune alpha-n on there.

ms2/extra has a normal alpha-n setup where you just tune on throttle position vs RPM.
