Unhappy Is there a way to disable tuning? (Read Only)

This may seem like an odd query but my vehicle has just been defected for a bunch of things and one of those is having "tunable EFI". We are allowed to have aftermarket EFI controllers here in Victoria,Australia provided that you cannot adjust the tune in them.

So I was thinking if I tuned it to my engine, then if there was some way to lock that in so that it could not be changed, by change of jumper or something, that could be useful when I go to the test centre where they will probably tell me news that will cause me to part out and sell my car....

this might be dumb, but what if you just unsolder the DB9 connector and put on a steel plate to cover it up? Is this a one time thing or an annual thing? Also it not really tunable if its not hooked up to any computer so not sure if thats kinda of a loop or not.

I'm just saying that because technically speaking you can get almost any ecu, and reprogram it or re-chip it.
