NEED HELP with my ms1

so yesterday i finished wiring up my cars harness and everything was set to go so i plug in my ms1 and i just finished a few days ago, so i go to try and download the firmware on to it and find out that it needs the boot holes to be jumped so i go do so and now the ms1 has to power running to it i check all the connections on the harness everything is good everything that needs power has it, so i open up my megasquirt and everything seems to look fine i dont see anything burnt or anything so im not really sure what went wrong, is there any part in the ms that might have burnt out?? something common that i should check?
thanks

Are you sure you shorted the correct spot?

While the jumper is shorted, the LEDs will not come on so it may look like it doesn't have power when it actually does.

ok ok i redid the joint and i got it to load the firmware now i set a base map and now i got a new problem lol no spark, i checked the wires and the coils have power, i checked the cas wires to make sure that they are going to the right pins which they are but they dont have any power, im not sure if they are suppose to but i would think they would i tested for power at both the cas harness plug and on the ecu side off/on/while cranking and nothing no power, i opened up the ms to check all solder joints they seem to be fine... so im not really sure what to do next, any ideas??

one more thing my tps is acting weird, when i try to calibrate it and i floor it it will go up to 254 and when i let go of the gas and do they other one it also says 254 and after a few mins it goes down and about 30 mins it drops down to 150 but go any lower then that, could this be sign of a bad tps?? also after i press on the gas the flood clear activates, after i have released the gas pedal it stays on and doesnt turn off for a few mins, ive messed with the setting to try and make it not turn on so easily, ftw whenever i try to crank over the engine i made sure that the flood clear was not on, and as for the pots when u adjust them counterclockwise how far are u suppose to go, till it stops? and if these werent adjusted properly what problems with this cause?

You won't find power at the CAS wires.

When you were flashing the firmware, were the coil connected? If so, that's a big no-no and you may have fried them. The ignitors in the RX-7 are pretty robust so I doubt it, but it could happen.

Now, are you getting an RPM signal at all? If you aren't getting RPM, then you won't get spark.

Sounds like your TPS may be physically sticking.

yes im getting rpm signal on megatune, but my gauge isnt getting signal, also if i dont get spark would that affect my fuel i dont think im getting and fuel as well becuz my wideband is reading 21.8 AFR?? me and my friend both built ms1's together, when i was having trouble with my box we were trying his and when we loaded firmware on to his box we had the coils disconnected, then after we loaded everything we connected the coils and we had trouble with spark as well, but when i finally got my box to work when i loaded firmware on it i forgot to unplug the coils but luckily he had some s5 coils laying around that came of a working car. but still no spark. lets say both of our second vr switchs were done wrong wouldnt the built in one still work one of the coils??? and have spark to that specific coil?

great news i got it too run!! but its running super rich about 10.4 afr, i think it might be due that my gm coolant and iat sensors are reading -40 degrees, is there some sort of settings for those sensors that i have to change to run those?? on another note i checked my tps and it is differently no sticking physically it seems to be moving freely so umm go junk yard hunting to see if i can find a one in good condition

What gauge?

If the engine is not running, the wideband will read full lean as there is no exhaust.

The injectors should click during cranking if you are getting an RPM signal. Is the RPM signal approximately 180 RPMs - 250 RPMs?

me and my friend both built ms1's together, when i was having trouble with my box we were trying his and when we loaded firmware on to his box we had the coils disconnected, then after we loaded everything we connected the coils and we had trouble with spark as well, but when i finally got my box to work when i loaded firmware on it i forgot to unplug the coils but luckily he had some s5 coils laying around that came of a working car. but still no spark. lets say both of our second vr switchs were done wrong wouldnt the built in one still work one of the coils??? and have spark to that specific coil?

If you are getting a stable RPM signal, then the VR circuits are good enough.

Do you have the resistors on the correct side of the LEDs?

Well, it is likely running super rich because it is totally untuned. You need to tune the VE table.

If your sensors are reading -40 and the TPS is wandering, I would suspect your sensor ground is wrong.

Read the link on basic tuning I have provided (second link). A base map won't help you.
