Suddenly running richer (log attached)

I got hold of a laptop and finally had chance to try to tune my half-bridge at the dragstrip.

It was waaaay rich at first, so I did a first-cut of knocking 10% off of the higher end values. On my next pass (the last one I logged) I found that in 1st and 2nd, my AFRs were a whole lot better, but in 3rd, it went fairly rich.

The odd thing is, pulsewidths are fairly consistent 2nd gear versus 3rd at similar RPM points.

Relevant info: MS1 v3.0 firmware, LC-1 standard settings. File is a .msl (renamed as .txt)

It didn't pick up any more speed going from 11:1 to 13:1 either.

Last time this happened to a friend's car, it was because of a bad injector.

I had the flyback circuit go bad on me once, and it caused some pretty odd results like consistently rich running even with almost no PW.

I realized today that the LC-1 has been in the car for something like 30,000 miles and it is possible that I'm seeing the sensor going wacky. O2 sensors are only good for about 20k before they start to drift, the OEMs are doing some interesting things with respect to compensating for this sensor drift.

My next step is going to be finding out what OEM application the sensor is from so I can grab another one. It looks very Bosch-VW.

It is; IIRC its from a 2001 Golf GTI, 1.8t. This is just going off of memory from 2 years ago tho, so I'd doublecheck. A quick search online or in the Innovate forums had the answer

Epilogue: I haven't dug into it yet, but I suspect that it was a mechanical issue. When I pulled the engine out, there was standing oil in the intake manifold, intake ports, and in the rotor housings, as viewed from the exhaust ports. If nothing else, oil consumption may have been leading to seals that'd stick only when very hot when I noted the fuel issue.

Something is Stuck as compression on the front rotor is low and is uneven on the rear rotor.
