Some final questions about stock electronics wiring to Megasquirt

Alright, I'm just about ready to be done with this RX7 and move onto the next, but I do have some final questions.

#1. There are 4 wires coming from the CAS. 2 are signal, and 2 are ground, correct? Does or does not the CAS require power? (I believe the answer to that is no, but I'd like to make sure)

And #2. Does anyone have the pin-out for the coils? I'm going to check in the manual tonight, but it would be nice to have it documented here.

Answer to number 1 is: yes you are correct... 2 signal and 2 ground, one of the signal wires is for the 24 tooth Ne wheel, the other is for the 2 tooth G wheel. Just take the cover off the CAS and look inside at where the wires go to be sure which is which.

The Leading coil only has 2 Wires... one provides +12v to the ignitor/coil, the other is the IGt signal.

The trailing ignitor has a crapload of wires coming out of it on 2 plugs. I don't remember off the top of my head which wires do what .... but only 2 of them are important for the megasquirt.

In the case of both the leading and trailing ignitors, I figured out what the wires do by taking them out of the car and taking the bottom off so I could see where each wire runs. The ignitor module has a label beside where each wire is attached that makes it pretty easy to tell what each wire does.

You can tell which wires are the +12v wires (or in case of leading, just 1 wire) by checking which one/ones go both to the + terminal of the coil(s) and to the ignitor itself.
