S5 Alternator ?
ok im looking at the wiring diagram from Mitchell's on demand looks like the black/white wire(bigger one) goes to the main fuse block on the positive side.
then theres 2 other wires one wire says it should be fused on the main fuse block and if i dont have an air bag(white /blue)
the other one is white/black says charge ind (warning & auto clock unit)
what i get from the last one would go to the stock FB idiot light and to power the clock dose that sounds correct?

in the 2nd gen forums there is a lot of info on swapping an S5 or FD alternator into an S4; Just going by what I remember, the white/blue wire (S terminal) needs to get power from after the EGI fuse so that it sees 12V constantly (IIRC), the white/black wire (L terminal) goes to the warning light relay for the dash light etc, and the black wire (B terminal) is the lug sticking off the side that actually handles all of the charging current; this is run through the main fuse back to the battery (which should be the way the FB's charging wire is run too.
