It runs on diypnp!!!!

A while ago I started working on a DIYPNP megasquirt for a FC. I started with this thread

https://www.rx7club.com/megasquirt-f...emain-1020176/

Tonight for the first time the car actually ran! I was on the verge of giving up and smashing the ecu when a friend of friend (who happened to be a mazda tech) came into the shop.. we walked through all the setting and discovered a few errors/oversights in the settings, gave it one last go for the night and the thing started!!!!

I started with AaronCake's write up..... and fiddled with a few things because the DIYPNP firmware is slightly different, and by the way, you have to use 3.1.1 if you want the trailing coils to fire in FC mode. I posted what I have below if anyone else wants to use it (had to attach as .txt format).
***DISCLAIMER BY NO MEANS IS THIS A TUNED MAP OR ANYTHING I JUST KNOW IT STARTS AND FREE REVS OK ON THIS PARTICULAR CAR!!!***
There may be all sorts of goofy settings in there, injector dead time for example I think I have it a 2.0 out of frustration, but the engine settings, trigger settings, and ignition settings work...... I will play with it more this week and next week and repost a better base map, and pinout of the DIYPNP adapter jumpers and pullups.

Congrats! And thanks for posting all the work you've been doing. I've been running a standard MS for quite a while but recently a friend of mine has expressed an interest in going with the DIYPNP MS. Your thread will be very helpful to us. Thanks again!

Made some really good progress with the car tonight!!! It actually runs pretty good!!! MUCH BETTER that the stock ECU runs....... We went out on the road with it and did some low power pulls and only hit about 5psi of boost (Got all the way to 90+ MPH though)

The only weird thing I have seen so far is the stock tach is going crazy, the squirt seems reads rpm really smooth though but the stock tach bounces round and hits redline randomly then seems to clean up and follow the same RPM that the squirt is showing...... wondering if there is some noise in crank signal????

I rescaled all the tables tonight for 15psi of boost because this car isnt going to run much more than that for while, need to do a few runs and see where I am at before I post any files, but I will share again once I have had a chance to get things dialed in a little better.

Talking Mega nightmare PNP !

Wow ! Denverstone that's reat news !
I built my PNP when they first came out to run on my NA Vert.
six plus months of tech support and nothing helped. I was not getting any spark in the settings DIY was telling me to run. I experimented myself and got it to fire up in a differrent mode ..cant remember it's been so long. When I told DIY , they said I need to go back to there original settings, which I did and again no spark. So I set the PNP on the shelf till somebody else makes a break through. how can I use your text file to update my PNP ? My Tach was all over the place as well and also my fuel pump settings were way off ..I also used Arron cake's megasquirt guide to try and map a base setting.
