Is the MSnS plug-n-play nearing production, yet? I've heard good things and am basically sold on getting one...

Keep up the good work, guys!

We're still working on it... it took forever to get a hold of the daughtercards due to the fact that error* was out of the country... And now I'm just waiting on dead ECU's to arrive so I can actually build connectors for everything.

Right now I have 3 S5 ecus and 3 S4 ecus... and 13 megasquirts ready to be turned into plug 'n play megasquirts...

I'm also working on a deal that will allow me to get the megasquirts built more quickly while spending less of my (non-existant) spare time.

Awesome!!

I hope to put an order through within the next few months. My plans were originally to go with an SAFC-II to tune my NA, but with the ignition control capabilities AND fuel control capabilities of the MSnS plug-n-play, not to mention these things coming with a pre-tuned base map for an S4 motor... how could you go wrong?!

Thanks for the quick response!!

You're stock ECU does not "get Megasquirt'd"

The Megasquirt is a standalone unit..they use the CONNECTOR off you're ECU to make it plug directly into you're engine harness.

I don't want to turn this into an "order your MS" page.

When we have them ready, I'll post here, along with an email addy for people to use to paypal... then it's first-come-first-serve.

I have a S4 N/A ECU in my storage I think
My mech friend probly has a dozen ECU's
sitting around.....

I'll check into it

S4 N/A and TII share the same plugs
In fact I've used a N/A ECU and N/A AFM to run a Turbo II motor
with good success

Shoot me a message when you get a chance, I've got two S4 ECUs, you can have the connectors from (have = free). I'm using one case to house my megasquirt, and I want the other one for "just in case" (sorry about the bad pun!), but you're only interested in the connectors anyway, right?

If it's more convient, hit me up on AIM: Greatleper .

Cheers!

I put my plug n play adaptor together today and hooked it up and nothing. Does the ecu actually have to be mounted to the car for grounding purposes or should it work without doing that.

should work without mounting it... I've never actually mounted one permenantly, and they all worked fine.

Most likely you've botched the wiring somewhere.

I used a schematic I found on this forum that told me where to solder the wires on the stock ecu plugs. Where did you guys get your wiring schematic. For the most part just by looking at mine and yours it seems like we used the same prongs on the stock ecu side.

Don't worry, it'll be soon. I could start taking orders now, but they won't be ready until the end of the month at the earliest (I have a day job as well, so I'm doing this in my non-existant spare time).

I didn't quite understood... the price you've mentioned earlier was for MS + Harness, right?

I'm not ever going to sell adapters by themselves. The wiring of the adapter depends on how you mod the v3 board, making it a bit hard to support when I wasn't the one who modded the board. Also, I need all the connectors I have for people who are buying the full deal.

Also, S5's aren't going to be as plug 'n play due to the fact that I can't control the OMP on those.

I have a reliable builder now, so they're very close now. I'll take some pics of the "stock" we have. I'm going to be out of town for about a week or so, but when I come back, I'm going to finish the last step (the connectors) on the 27th. Don't worry guys, I haven't forgotten or stopped working. It's just a bit more involved than people realize, and until recently I've been doing almost all the work myself in my non-existant spare time.

EDIT: This is a pic from about a week ago of my builder (Brandon) building. He is DarkAngelKamui on this forum.
