No rpm when crank

When i crank i get no rpm. I removed the resistors i installed when i thought it was resetting from the coil and still nothing. I still have the dave cap installed. could this be an issue? i started over from scratch and reflashed the MS with the latest firmware and loaded a new map and set it up for just fuel. With stock ecu wired up i can pull the rpm sig while running just fine no issues. I will hook up stock ecu and see if MS shows any rpm sig while i crank.

Also i found this link https://www.rx7club.com/megasquirt-forum-153/problem-v2-2-build-733361/

could that be my issue?

What board are you using?

Do you get RPM from the Stim?

Hm, if you are getting a signal from the Stim it should read the coil. Are you connecting to the negative side of the leading coil?

Also, what resistors are you referring to that you removed?

ARG wrong barrel plug! The resistors i was talkin about were the ones inline for the tach signal. I got it running and even idles now but i think the map i have is way off.

Do you have a wideband O2 controller and sensor in the car and hooked to the MS?

stock narrowband for now. My wideband should be in sometime soon i hope. Im running NA S5 rotors with a street port and s4 injectors. My req fuel was set to 31?! I will load up what Aaron listed in his write up after work and see if that changes things

Without the resistors, you will need to do a datalog at high RPMs and check for noise. If you are seeing noise, start adding resistors 5K at a time until the noise goes away.

Then again, I have seen a few cars that don't want any resistors at all...

Yeah, 31 in ReqFuel is going to make for a very weird VE table.

You would probably want a reqfuel of 9 or 10

Needless to say I won't be trying out ms3 + the sequential staging code I just finished anytime soon!

Yeah, MS3 supports sequential fuel + staged injection. I just wrote code to support both at the same time.

Ah ok that makes more sense now. I opened my mouth to soon. We are supposed to get 8- 12 inches of snow.
