renns i saw that thread and considered it. he charges like $100/hr i think. i have already bought a new opamp u7 chip and q22,23 transistors. i will replace these, and need to get a socket for it, but i think i will try these first. i also looked on ebay and found a oscope buy it now for like $65 shipped. its a heathkit IO 30, and a b&k dual trace 10mhz. i might wait to replace the u7 and q22,23 and if i cant get it done, i might contact that guy about repairs.

 

speaking of pots, how do you know when there fully counter clockwise? Mine dont seem to have a stop for this point. How many revolutions of adjustment are in a pot?

 

They'll click audibly when you pass the "fully counterclockwise" point.
