MS2 FAQ's

Ok, those of you that know me know I have been using ms1 with no problems. I was all up and down all of the ms sites trying to build my ms1 for the first time and after I was done i was happy with what I had!

My new questions are....

#1 What are the advantages of using the ms2 "From a year ago I remember the ms2 wasn't quite ready to be used with the rx-7"

#2 Is the build any different than the ms1?

#3 I remember talk of some of the functions that weren't available to use with the ms2, is this still true? "like the option for the electric fan controlles"

#4 where can I look to find more info about the ms2 and the rx-7? " i remember reading alot about other people using ms2 but they were having some problems"

#5 what are the changes in megatune compared to ms1? "I remember something about larger ve and timing tables"

Please keep me posted!

Wall-wetting accel enrichment algorithm, better fuel resolution, more accurate spark timing, to name a few.

Slightly... the only really big difference is where you wire the second trigger.

You can use the generic output settings to control a fan.

#4 where can I look to find more info about the ms2 and the rx-7? " i remember reading alot about other people using ms2 but they were having some problems"
In this section of the rx7club forum. There are several people using it here without problems.

The timing tables are the same size. The VE tables can be selected between 12x12 and 16x16 (only in the 2.0 betas). There's a problem right now which I'm tracking down in 2.0b16 that keeps it from working with trailing ignition on a rotary.

OF course, since ms2/extra 1.0.x you can do that.

I wouldn't have considered it ready for a rotary engine otherwise.
