Megasquirt MS 2.2 S4 Turbo Bridgeport motor issues(wont start)
I alway have a hard time starting a rebiuld with MS ecu. I alway have to push start it down a hill for the first couple of times. As muy says you have the 3 thing needed to make it run. I wish I could get a started that would spin the engine faster. The half bridges engine are so hard to start unless everything is right on. Just look at the way the idle 1200-1500 rpm anything below that and they stall. So when it is cranking it is just too slow. My spark during cranking seems week but I don't know if that is ms related or the coils.

sorry that took me this long to replay but for some reason im having problems responding to pms and posting in the threads but here its atached my MS map. thanks to muy and everybody else.Joey
Just do it gradually, and if you start to get too high don't add any more.
Verify your crank timing is around -5 to 0 degrees too. Like I said, a stock rotary is very sensitive to crank timing, I would imagine that your bridge port is even more sensitive.
You may have to do what 13bdarren said too, pullstart it the first few times, and keep your foot on the throttle to keep the engine running after pullstarting it.

what size primary injectors are you running again? Also, do you have your current VE table that you can post up? Depending upon these factors, maybe I can help you out with my current VE map that's set up for 550 primaries. Maybe it'll get you closer to starting your car.

right know stock 550cc,im trying to start her up first and then i will swap my injectors for a 720-1680CC combo.so i should inject more fuel but around how much, just to have a starting point?
With 550's cold (say 55 deg F) I'd say 14-15 ms is a good starting point.
Warm you'd probably want 3.5-4 ms.
And as I have said many times, good timing is essential.
Also, if it's a full rebuild, pullstarting it behind another car, then driving it around a bit will probably help get it to start more easily as well.

well it did not work at all.it wont start my motor at all,MS its good was tested on my brothers 88 vert works great and started right up(using the map that you guys provided with your pnp units) i installed and old sakura fuel only computer with locked dizzy, msd boxes and coils and its running fine.Really disapointed after all the work and reading that i did in order to try the unit,if any body is interested im selling the MS with the PNP adapter and the laptop cable for 300 bucks, thanks guys for all the help
Sounds like you might have had some tach noise or something... that's the #1 enemy to starting up... pull-starting would've told you this too, as usually the noisiest time is cranking.
Did you ever try pull-starting?

yes i did and it didnt work(very weird)well it catches and then died, but what really **** me of was that it started the other car right up(stock car in every aspect)
You might even play with timing a little bit....advance it a few degrees and keep trying.
I would really hate seeing someone give up on their MS. Yes they can be frustrating initially, sometimes even a real pain in the ***, but it is a fantastic product that is constantly being improved upon.....it's affordable and the tuning software is among the easiest out there once you get the hang of it. Patience and perseverance my friend.
