Is megasquirt the way for my setup?

Need some help. Not up to speed on the megasquirt thing but I do have a problem and was told megasquirt would help me but the guy that said that could not tell me anything about it.

So here is my setup I have now:

85 Gsl-se
13b 6port S4 motor streetported using the S3 front cover and E shaft.
S4 intakes with secondaries plugged off
S4 TB with the TB mod done to it.
710 cc injectors
160 degree thermostat
NO emissions what so ever
RB lightweight flywheel
Centerforce clutch
RB streetport header with 02 and 5&6th port provision.
RB streetport exhaust
Stock gsl-se ECU
Stock gsl-se harness

Ok, my car under WOT runs awesome but at an idle runs very rich. It will water your eyes quick and sticks bad. I would like to lean it out a bit.

I have been thinking about running the S4 harness, ECU, afm and add the extra set of injectors to this motor but now wonder if the megasquirt would be better since most FC's have wiring issues.

Anyone have this setup on a gsl-se or a s4 na and running megasquirt?
Thanks

Yes, I do understand that. I was meaning to see if anyone has a setup close to that and if they have good results. Also not sure how hard it will be to setup and tune as I have never messed with one.

Fire85, I have a very similar setup to what you are describing:

I have:
streetport gsl-se
full streetport racing beat exhaust
no emissions.
2nd gen ignition running off of msns-extra using 2nd gen CAS
VDI s5 intake setup with 4x 460 injectors
emissions removal.

Currently I'm finishing up my wiring harness and will hopefully get it running this weekend. If you have any questions let me know.

Get a Megasquirt. Little Paulito can build it for you and then you are on your own for set-up. I am getting the Plug n Play for mine when it comes out.

Yes. I am still thinking about it. I think with a electronics degree I should be able to build it but who knows. I will keep that though on the back burner if I run that way.
