megasquirt for a S5 TII

I'm thinking of just getting a megasquirt my S5TII swap into a S4 gx

My biggest concern is how do you guys control the oil metering pump
i really don't want to switch the front cover and back to a mechanical OMP

Do you just use the stock S4 main harness with the stock ecu controlling that
and the megasquirt connected to the engine harness controlling the actual engine functions

s4's also use the mech omp ... there is no way ms can control the s5 omp ... go s4 front cover and omp ... or go premix ...

The water pump does not bolt to the front cover, just the front iron and yes, it will.

How do i get a S5 TII engine to run in a S4 GX Chassis using Megasquirt n spark

harness wise....

i'm goin to let the stock S4 ecu control everything on the main harness
and the megasquirt run the fuel and spark ....should i use the S5 TII engine harness with the MSnS

what harnesses did you guys use?

Im using this http://www.glensgarage.com/catalog/u...port-p-77.html

You need to wire it into all the sensors/injectors/ect ect. The tach Im running from the signal off my trailing coil. If your gonna control spark and fuel, then there really is no need for the stock ECU to stay.

Its mechanical. Runs off a cable from the tranny. Let me suggest you read, reread and reread again the megaquirt pages, not just here. I did it and it helped alot with understanding it all. Also, get an FSM and read up on how all the components work too before you go and get into a spot that your totally stuck in.

Good luck with your project and Im sure the MS gurus will be more then happy to help.
