Megasquirt lean backfire...
lean backfire...
Ok here's the problem..
Whenever I turn on over run fuel cut it backfires really bad when I try coming back on the throttle.
When it's off it doesn't backfire at all.
Can anyone help with this?

To help with these kinds of issues I retarded ignition timing at the very bottom of my table right around the same point where I have fuel coming back on. I also tuned EAE to make sure the right amount of fuel gets injected, and made sure the bottom part of my VE table right above where it cuts fuel was tuned correctly (I also tune it a little rich there, like 13.2:1... I have areas above that in the cruise RPM range much leaner, but I find that a little rich and retarded timing with EAE is the only way I can get seamless re-engagement of fuel on fuel cut).

ok i will try that...
also ken what do you tune for boost as far as afrs and what kind of timing am i looking at for launch control fuel cut?
I the timing at -5 right now.
I'm trying to build more boost on launch. It's only giving me like 5lbs right now.

AFRs on boost should be about the same as most other engines... I tune for 12:1 as you're just entering boost, and I go richer as boost goes up... I believe we tuned eage8's engine for 11:1 for the most part. Any richer and he lost power, and any leaner provided no gain in power.
I don't own a boosted rotary myself, so I can't really answer the timing for launch question.
