First off, when I change the R4 resistor (water or air resistor -I forget which) am I supposed to get a resistor that's somewhere between 30k - 50k (example: a 47k resistor)? Should this be a 1/4 or a 1/2 watt resistor?

Now as for the 3 4.7k ohm +5v pullup resistors installed at the LED's, should these be 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistors?

Now for the lm1815N circuit:
Looking at a fellow forum member's install, I count 8 total different parts. 5 different resistors, 2 different capacitors, and 1 round capacitor/ transistor (?).
When I refer to the diagram Muythaibxr posted, I count:
(1) 4.7k resistor
(1) 82k resistor
(1) 18k resistor
(1) 1M resistor
(1) .01 capacitor (?) I guess?
(1) 330 capacitor (?) I guess?

The last 2 I'm unsure of, but even so, that leaves me with (1) unknown resistor, and (1) unknown round part (I guess it's a capacitor or a transistor?)
Even at that, I don't even know where they go.
Very important: Which resistors are 1/4 watt, and which ones are 1/2 watt? Are they all 1/4 watt, or are they all 1/2 watt?

It seems that the only way I know how to properly install all of this is to use a fellow forum member's pictures that are posted here in this forum.

Can someone please help to clarify all of this?

Yes 1/4 watt resistors for both those applications. Easiest way to get your lm1815 ckt is to buy the daughtercard it comes with all parts needed and is very easy to assemble. DIYautotune has this daughtercard. It also has other features on this card. If your planning on building a LM1815 from a picture dont. Order the card and youll have no trouble. Just my opinion,Shawn

 

yeah, if you've got little to no experience building custom circuits, just buy the daughtercard.

the MSII won't even work for a rotary yet. the MSII IS a daughtercard, which plugs in in place of the old MSI processor. The daughtercard we're talking about is the msns-extra daughtercard which you have to wire to the mainboard in various places yourself.

 

The reason I was a little confused, on diyautotune.com sight I thought he was showing the daughter board in the complete MSII v3 was the MSII. But after I read closer, the add says MSII with PCB-3. Sorry

It's really not all that hard, you just need to take your time and double check everything. Having a good multimeter is very very useful.
