Ignition Trigger LED

Hi

Ok, so we add in the 4.7K resistors, and we use the negative lead of the LED's and send this signal to the Ignitors. Is it possible to get the LED's Outputs to come out the DB37 connector?

Or do I have to wire in the Ignitor wires out of the vacuum line hole?

If they do come out a DB37 pin could someone please tell me the Pin-outs, and if they can but it isn't documented then why isn't that documented.

Is there a resource explaining what exactly the Pin-outs on the DB37 plug.

msefi.com under assembly will show you exactly what the pinouts are. Im not sure on the v2.2 board but on the v3 board there are 4 spare outputs that you can use but im not sure what pins they relate to on the db37. Depending on your setup, there could be more free spots on the db37 you could use, but on mine I used the 4 spare outputs for ignition and 2nd vr input from the CAS.

Actually, the v3 board has 8 spare outputs, and the description is on www.megasquirt.info

I sent the signal from the LEDs out through the DB37 connector. Pins 25, 27 and 29 (because they were the most convenient for me). The diagram shows the basic setup for pin 25. Pins 27 and 29 were hooked up in a similar fashion. V2.2 board.

yeah. If they're not being used for IAC, then there's no reason you can't use them for your own purposes.

If we use the spot ont he heatsink for a TIP122 chip for the PWM control of the BAC. And then wire it up through Q4 like outlined on the megasquirt.info, we use the IAC pins?

err... to use the BAC, you don't need to wire it through the IAC pins. Just wire it to the transistor pins as the megasquirt.info site says.
