Hi RES code

I installed the hi-res code today hr08g and noticed a night and day difference in my idle and startup. Idle is much smoother and startup is instant with no need to touch the pedal. I can't wait to get it out and drive it. Once I figure out what is wrong with my fan output and o2 input.

there is a new hires code, 09 or something like that, which has some major fixes in it. I would suggest using that.

The main fix should get rid of any table-lookup spikes people may have been seeing.

Any chance of getting the 2 parameter staging and transition buffer back in on the Hi-res MS1 code?

yeah, 09 isn't marked stable yet, but I anticipate that it will be.

EDIT: 09 had other problems, so it was taken down.

When it is put back, I suggest using it.

doing that would be difficult at best, there's not a whole lot of RAM free, and we'd need more to do that.

ms2/extra has that staging transition, and calcs are done in 32-bits in .01 usec resolution before dividing down to usec resolution for controlling the injectors. It's easy to do there as we have 4K of ram, and it's just over half full now. That means that unlike standard msns-extra code, when you specify 25 or 50 ignition events for the staging transition, it actually takes that long because rounding doesn't cause it to end sooner than you specify. I've tried 255 steps, and it actually goes 255 steps (although I'd not recommend doing that in a car... it would take a long time to actually complete).

In other words, many will want to upgrade to ms2 with ms2/extra once I finish trailing (starting on it again today).

Ken

Is there something wrong with the staged injection and hi-res ? When my secondaries are triggered the I lose all fuel to the engine. On the megastim my duty cycles shoot past 250+% when the secondaries activate. What have I missed? Switched back to 029t and everything is fine.

There shouldn't be anythign wrong... the transition doesn't work, so if you have that enabled, I'd disable it.... but staging without that worked fine the last time I checked on the bench.

I have not checked since hr_05 or so though.

the "gradual transition" code to gradually bring the secondaries online and reduce the primaries.

How do I disable the transition ? How does the staged injection work if there is no transition control ?

use 0 for the number of events on the transition. Then it'll just transition instantly.
