DIY said there is a resistor between the input and ground on the 2nd VR and that its 347 ohms.

When we where testing the board thats the resistance that we found at the second VR input. The LM was good and there isnt anything wrong with the board.

Yeah, I switched out the board if you remember because I wasn't getting any signal from it. There was something *else* wrong with the board.

In any case, did you figure out your coil issue?

Not yet. Im thinking it may be the ignitor. Not sure though. I took my DVOM and set it up to read resistance and tested the output of D14. And i saw a change from OL to a resistance when i spun the CAS. But im not sure if that means anything anyway. When i ground out the ignitor input the coil did not fire. But then I kinda recalled something about the FC coil needing a square wave or something. Just havnt had the time to research anything ATM.

Ken, Im thinking the ignitor is dead. Is there a way i can use a GM 7 prong ignitor the way its setup now? if not Ill see if i can mod the trailing coil to fire at the same time.

I wouldn't use the GM ignitor...

I can check around and see if anyone has any 2nd gen leading coils they are willing to sell.
