well the flashing to 026i went just fine. I found out that the tuner b717 has some errors and such. i downgraded to MT b627 and that works just fine. I get readings and such from the MS. The issue is apon opening MT it tells me the firmware doesn't match the .ini file i'm using... i think (i can't copy and paste it at the moment as i'm at work.) I believe it say that i'm running a firmware of 027d and a .ini file of 026i. then it asks if i want to terminate MT. I just built the MS and tested it out using the simulator. I got the file from here as listed in the sticky... http://www.zealengineering.com/~culverk/026i_mod.zip

any ideas, I'm running MS1 V3?

PS the problems i was having with the b717 MT was that it wasn't saving my spark tables and such and i couldn't get it to comunicate with my MS.

I've been using 026i and 2.25 b717 for quite awhile, so you should be able to get it to work.

 

i did get the problem you were getting for a while. i fixed that but now i get this error when plugging in the MS and loading MT. I'll post the exact error when i get home later tonight. I got some track driving scheduled at 1030pm tonight at the local track.

Anyone in the midwest area. it's $20 a night. driver as much as you want. Just gota watch our for other drivers. it's an awsome road course. You can buy the track for $100 per hour and have no one else or as many people as you want out there.

Controller code version does not match signature in MSnS-extra.ini.

Expected "MSnS-extra format 027c *********" (found in ini file)
Recieved "MSnS-extra format 026_mod ******" (from controller)

Table corruption may occur, this is usually a very serious problem.

What does this mean? I get this with MT b717 when opening it. When I open b627 it's fine... any ideas?

 

it means you have the wrong msns-extra.ini file in your mtCfg directory (a subdirectory of where megatune is installed)

 

ahhh. copied over the .ini file from b627 and commented out the lines that rex4life did and it's up and going. thanks again guys
