Coil question

I have a set of the GM coils from a V6 laying around. Is there a problem using only one side of a wasted spark coil for each trailing? One coil running true wasted spark for the leading plugs and the other two going to each trailing. I know one side of these is the positive side, one is negative. I'm pretty sure they need to creat there own loop.

Any way around this? Or should I buy some LS1 coils for a CNP system and run 4 seperate? On that thought, does anybody have a lead on a car I should look for in a U-pull-it yard that might have some CNP worthy coils. I found a Northstar that had a rack of 4 coils but they are in an ugly plastic 'valve cover' looking case.

Running MS2 on V3 board w/ zeal daughter board

Most of the time, a wasted spark coil needs a connection at both sides. This is because each spark plug is connected to only one end of the secondary winding, so both plugs need to fire to complete the circuit. One plug usually lets the coil fire, but very poorly and erratic.

Just wondering why you aren't using FC coils?

Just looking for something different to try, I know they will be hard to beat but I've got on that craps out when it gets hot and thought if I was going to spend some money(I hate that part) that I might try a CNP/COP system.

One end of the Dual Post Coil (Wasted spark) acts as the positive and the other end acts as the negative, if you only use one side then the other end needs grounding to complete the circuit.
