can you use gm IAT witch stock coolant temp sen??????

can you use the GM iat sensor and still use the stock coolant sensor as long as you calibrate it or is it either or????

I don't even recalibrate the CTS. It's only about ten degrees F off from a GM sender, it never goes off-range.
