Megasquirt Been doing some reading
I've been looking to put in an EMS and have a few questions.
What do I need?
Ill be going:
v3 board
MS2 chipset
4 bar map
wiring harness
little resistors and such that a wankel needs
What else?
I want to control Ignition, fuel injection, WBo2 and some other stuff like my efan...
I wont be running stock ignition, whats my best bet? (ls1/ls2 coils look expensive..)
I want to clean the **** out of my engine bay. What sensors do I need?

Just those? Is it better to add on stuff like knock sensor? Stim board? etc?
I was also thinking about running 2 o2 sensors, here's my logic.
normally the o2 sensor helps determine how much fuel to put in.
if housing 1 is running rich, and housing 2 is running lean they will balance out because there's only 1 o2 sensor. That doesn't seem to optimal. So if i had 2x o2 sensors, it would correct for each combustion chamber, and boht would have proper AFR(whatever that is set to)
SO:
What gains/hassles would come with an additional WB 02 sensor, and is it worth the extra coin?
I've been going through the mega manual and trying to digest as much as possible. Whats the best way to run 4 injectors? does the standard MS2v3 control individual port injection? Will it run my ignition as its suposed to? ie lead, then trail?
thanks in advance.

Use one IAC wire for you e-fan.
Use the remaining three as ignition outputs.
Set it up to control the BAC by modding the board, using the FIDLE output.
Use two of the spare pins for the 2nd trigger wheel.
You can use the 2nd gen ignition and it's probably the best configuration. It's really hard to beat the 2nd gen ignition system.

Knock sensing isn't going to help you avoid detonation, so don't bother.
The Stimulator is only used when bench testing the 'Squirt.

You'll use INJ1 to run your primaries, and INJ2 to run your secondaries. The Megasquirt batch fires injectors.
I read the main FAQ I thought, I'll double check. It was smaller than then main MS FAQ's on megamanual.
Each night I try and skim over the megamanual, and re-read things I don't fully understand.
Thanks for the input. Might sound weird but I look forward to meeting you.

The 'Squirt has a steep learning curve, especially if you don't have any electronics experience. But on the plus side, Megasquirt people are probably among the most helpful out there.
