Description:

Good Morning. This is a copy of the sales post for this car that I'm no longer able to edit. The power numbers have been corrected and the dyno graph from Full Detail Automotive included (Thanks Mike)

Its a sad day but the time has come for me to sell my RX7. I bought the car from Fritz Flynn in 2019. The original sales ad is here: Original Sales Ad The car was relocated to Florida where it was driven regularly and modified. The car is being offered with a clean Massachusetts title and is sitting at 71,1XX miles on the ODO.

In June of 2021 I deployed to the United Kingdom for work and did not take the car with me. The car was kept stored indoors at Full Detail Automotive, a rotary specialist who's owner is active on this forums. From June of 2021 to June of 2024 Mike at FDA did extensive work on the vehicle towards turning it into a showcar level FD. My design intent with the vehicle was "OEM +" and Mike executed beautifully. The car really is a work of art. The car is very streetable while still pumping out enough power to be very fast and fun. The power numbers for the car are included in the dyno picture. They are 326 hp and 260 ft lbs of torque.

Why I'm selling: Unfortunately the car doesn't fit into my life anymore. I expected to move back to Florida post deployment and buy a house, but life led me back to Massachusetts and an area where I don't intend to buy.

Drivetrain:

  • New BNR Stage 2 Turbos
  • Greddy VMount Kit
  • Apexi FC
  • SakeBomb Garage Dual Oil Coolers
  • MazdaSpeed Short Shifter
  • FFE Idler Pulley
  • Ohlins Road and Track DFV Suspension
  • ACT Street / Strip Clutch and lightweight flywheel
  • Efini Y Pipe
  • Sakebomb Garage IGN 1A Ignition
  • Radium Engineering Fuel Rails and Injector Dynamics Injectors
  • ABS Delete
  • Rats nest removed and turbo setup tucked away
  • RE Dolphin Tail Exhaust
Exterior:
  • Advan GT Semi Gloss Black Wheels
  • Advan GT Center Caps
  • Michellin Pilot Sport AS/3 Tires
  • Mazdaspeed Hood
  • Sakebomb Garage HID headlights
  • OEM 99 Spec Wing
  • OEM 99 Complete Front end
  • Shine 99 Spec Side Skirts
  • APR Carbon Mirrors
  • Dress up Bolts

Interior:
  • Full 1994 interior plastics
  • Custom RX8 air conditioning system
  • OEM 99 Spec Arm Rest
  • 1 DIN headunit with Android Auto / Apple Carplay
  • Newer Kenwood sound system
  • Complete Base trim trunk interior
  • Garage Alpha cupholder
  • Garage Alpha floor / trunk mats
  • Garage Alpha door sills (Aluminum sills included as well)
  • LRB Speed spare cover
  • Mazdaspeed handbreak
  • Mazdaspeed shift **** (OEM currently installed)
  • Mazdaspeed Mirror (OEM currently installed)
  • 99 steering wheel
  • 99 spec cluster is being included with sale (OEM currently installed)

The Good:
  • Low mileage SSM hardtop
  • The engine bay is a work of art. A ton of time and effort went into routing, tucking, and hiding the turbo lines, air conditioning lines, cabling, etc.
  • The 94 plastics interior is complete, in great condition, and exceedingly hard to put together at this point.
  • The SSM paint under the wrap is good but not great.

The Bad:
  • There are now Sakebomb headlight covers installed. This is actually an upgrade imo, but I'm putting it in the bad category because they are not the same color as the car
  • The gauge cluster is no longer displaying (likely a blown cap). I have a replacement 99' cluster available for a swap for the new owner
  • The wheels rub at full lock. The rub is not terrible, but it is there. The fenders could use a roll.
  • The wrap is showing its age up close.
Photos:
  • Photos are located here: Google Drive
  • Note: I do not have pictures of the underside of the car currently but will work to get them. The underside is rust free and generally in great shape.

There are almost certainly things I've missed while writing this but this is a good faith representation of a great car that's damn near perfect in my eyes. I also wanted to paint it but we never managed to work it into the schedule. I will supply the buyer with receipts for all of the work that's occurred in the last three years. I understand the price I'm putting on this car is a lot of money, but hopefully people will be able to see the value there as I do.

Of course can vouch for this car in all regards. We have documented everything we've done from the very first visit to the final journey out. Photo album is below. Top 3 engine bays we've ever done.

This car forced my hand to redo my own car actually. We also have a full video breakdown of the build on our YouTube page. Truly an excellent machine. the product of a rare opportunity to work with an owner that knew exactly what he wanted.

I have to ask, what are all the vacuum lines and controllers in the fender being used for?

The vacuum lines were relocated from the engine bay to the fender and simplified. The goal was to maintain the sequential functionality and clean up the engine bay as much as possible.

Mike from Full Detail Automotive could speak to it in more detail if you ask him

Yes, it's effectively a relocated rats nest using Mac valves for the sake of cleanliness and retention of the sequential system
