Selling one of my rotaries to make space for another. This is a clean title, complete, rust-free, unmolested, stock, rebuilt motor, factory turbo car. Of the dozen FC’s I have owned, this is hands down the cleanest. This is a perfect weekend driver that needs a new home. 

I have owned this since 2021, the previous owner had it since 1997 and was the second owner to my knowledge. I had always wanted a turbo FC but I've barely driven it, I always grab the keys to the FD over it. Selling it so someone else can enjoy it and to make room for something else.

 ENGINE

158,368 miles on the body, ~11K on the rebuilt engine. Ernst at RX-7 World rebuilt the engine in the late 2000’s per the previous owner, though I have no documentation. Engine has been painted so you can tell it’s been out. Recently compression tested with a RotaryCompressorTester.com unit, all faces between 95-110 psi. Engine starts easily, does not consume coolant or excessive oil, does not leak any fluids. Boosts/redlines/drives smooth as expected. Only non-stock parts are oil cooler lines (they appear to be RacingBeat stainless braided) and the radiator (copper not plastic). It also has a fuel pump kill switch under the dash that the previous owner installed prior to the rebuild, I have had to use this seldom to deflood the car, very useful. Comes with a box of new spare parts- belts, hoses, thermostat, etc.


 DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

5-speed transmission shifts perfect, no grinds, pop outs, or leaks. Clutch feels good, it was replaced when the engine was rebuilt. Suspension is all tight and in good shape, tires have even wear. I replaced the ball joints, tie rod ends, and front brake pads ~500 miles ago.


 BODY

Body is in very good shape, paint is beautiful and shines up nicely, this has always been garage kept. All good glass, no weird panel gaps, zero rust. The car was repainted sometime in the 2000’s and has held up well (repainted the same original red color). It does have a few door dings as expected with this kind of mileage, but no major scratches or dents. There is a slight crease on the front lower drivers fender. Some paint contaminants are evident in places on the roof and hood, there are tiny dots in the paint that have been there since I’ve owned it. You have to be up close to notice them, and they’re mostly noticeable under fluorescent light. I believe the front bumper cover and drivers headlight assembly were replaced at some point, which was the reason for the repaint. No other evidence of body work. Both door handles work. Door window trim has been replaced and is in good shape, windshield trim is very decent for it’s age. Body trim is all intact, and not warped. Tail lights have minimal fading, FTP lenses and other plastic lenses are all in good shape.


 INTERIOR

Super clean interior, all intact and not beat on. Seats are in good shape – the drivers seat bolster has been repaired, the new fabric isn’t an exact match but is very close. Functional cruise control, wipers (even intermittent), power windows, lights, etc. The defroster vents are all new. Idiot lights work but not the clock. The logicon seems to cycle through all of the options as it should. Heat works but the AC doesn't blow cold, system has no pressure and I’m unsure of the culprit. Some random cracks in the interior plastics, such as the door trim near the headliner, behind the passenger seat bottom, and one rear speaker grill, but no missing pieces. Still has factory spare, toolkit and jack, even the little cardboard cover that goes above the jack. The rear view mirror has the typical black flaking around it, but not much. The headunit and speakers are aftermarket, radio works but doesn’t sound amazing. I have an OEM headunit that I was wanting to install, it is included. Has replacement floormats from Atkins, worn original mats are included.
